The marquise has two points for a reason.
It's a cut built around direction, elongated, tapered, deliberate. On the ear, that translates into something most studs can't offer: a silhouette that shifts depending on how you wear it. On the Marquise Cut
One of the oldest diamond cuts, commissioned by King Louis XV, shaped to mirror the curve of a smile. Today it's chosen for a different reason: its elongated form makes it appear larger than its carat weight suggests. At 0.50ct per side, the Spire wears bigger than the numbers say.
